Hands Helping Haiti

I swear I love this girl. Shanna (JROTC) already started a donation in PHS and got it approved by the "higher-ups". If you go to Piper High School or an adult that lives in the area, PLEASE donate whatever you can. Clothes, Food, Blankets, Money, Medicine, Baby Supplies, Hygienic Items, etc. I promise that it;s ALL going to Haiti, unlike some of these scheming scam artists. Umm but yeah... back to business. The drop off centers in PHS are all the JROTC rooms, the Media Center (Library), SGA (Room 306), and Mr. Collins' room (500 Building). Please please please DONATE WHATEVER YOU CAN!!!

Ayiti Cherie

If you haven't heard of the earthquake in Haiti, get from under the rock you're sleeping in & get it together. I've never mentioned it on the blog before but I am of Haitian descent. Mom was born in US and Dad was born in Zaire. But the family is Haitian.

I am all the way horrified with the images and videos I've been seeing. One of the very graphic ones I saw made me instantly cry & made me feel the need to vomit. It was that bad.

Right now I'm watching CNN in search of information. My cousin is still missing some of her family but she's slowly coming to terms with whatever the outcome will be. We are still hoping for the best, though.

My best friend is worried because of the extra damage the after-shocks may cause being that her Dad & other family members are still out there. Once again, we are hoping for the best.

If you want to help text YELE to 501501. Five dollars will automatically be added to your phone bill. Also try to take up a donation of FOOD, WATER, and CLOTHES to send to Haiti. They need it.
